Unlike additives that are manufactured to correct a specific problem. Sentry Fuel Treatment products are multi-functional and produced in three easy to determine formulations based on your fuel type. - Sentry Diesel - standard duty diesel fuel treatment - Sentry Diesel PLUS - Marine and severe duty diesel fuel treatment - Sentry Gasoline - standard gasoline treatment - Sentry Gasoline PLUS- Marine and severe duty gasoline treatment.

How does water get into the fuel system?

Water intrusion into the fuel system is a year around problem, not just specific to Winter or Summer. Temperature differences during the day cause condensation to form on the inside of the fuel tank. Much like steam on your windows or your breath when cleaning your glasses. This condensation forms in all vented fuel systems. When it collects in the tank is sinks to the bottom where is causes all sorts of problems with the fuel system, corrosion, scum, algae, rust, freezing, gelling and more.

Do Sentry Fuel Treatment products work if I don't have water problems?

Yes! The unique formulation of Sentry Fuel Treatment products provides lubrication of the fuel system components, provides the benefits of lead for valve train protection, increase octane and cetane ratings of fuel for peak performance and economy. Sentry Fuel Treatment product will not harm any internal combustion engine.

What is fuel Stabilization?

Fuel stabilization is the process of treating the fuel to keep all of the components in suspension. When fuels set for a long period of time the components fall out of suspension (go sour) and form gum and varnish deposits in the fuel system. Sentry Fuel Treatment products provide stabilization for long periods of storage.

How much do I need?

The normal ratio for Diesel is 1 gallon to 1100 gallons The normal ratio for Diesel PLUS is 1 gallon to 800 gallons The normal ratio for Gasoline is 1 gallon to 400 Gallons The normal ratio for Gasoline PLUS is 1 gallon to 360 Gallons.

What if I have bad fuel?

If you have or suspect you have bad fuel it is recommended to double the first treatment. It will be necessary to keep an eye on the filter system because the Sentry Fuel Treatment products do a thorough job of cleaning, this may cause filter clogging with the first treatment.

How do fuel systems get dirty?

Fuel systems can get contaminated and dirty in many different ways. Fuel can be bad right from the pump. Some components of fuel can breakdown under operating temperatures and form deposits which can cause incomplete combustion of fuel resulting in carbon buildup in injectors and carburetors. All of these condition only cause a more rapid progression of engine problems such as hesitation, stalling, rough idle and poor economy.

What do you mean by Steam Cleaning?

When the water contamination found in fuel systems is encapsulated by the Sentry Fuel Treatment products it is introduced into the combustion chamber where it is burned. This burning causes the water to be released as super heated steam which blast all carbon deposits from the valves, pistons and injectors.

My filters trap the water and dirt?

Filter are a very important part of the fuel system on any internal combustion engine. They do trap water and dirt. But some water will get through even the best filters. When the filters get clogged with water and dirt they become less efficient and cause the pump system to work harder to supply the necessary volume of fuel. This excessive wear and tear can cause premature failure of the fuel system. Sentry Fuel Treatment products eliminate this problem by keeping the fuel system clean and free of water and it's related problems. This allows for efficient filter performance, dependability and more time between replacements. Lowering maintenance cost.

Will it keep my fuel from gelling or freezing?

Sentry Fuel Treatment products are tested to -30 degrees F and have remained in complete solution with no cloudiness or freezing.

Will I still have to "Blend" my fuel in Winter?

Absolutely not!! "Blending" of diesel fuel with gasoline or kerosene or alcohol only contributes to the deterioration of the fuel quality and stability. Sentry Fuel Treatment products protect fuel from gelling, freezing and fuel line clogging to -30 degree F.
